Trip Description

Come explore the beauty of the wild in the Willamette National Forest.  Trek through historical burn areas, see the wildlife and take in the amazing views of the lakes and mountains.

Day 1 - 6 miles

Meet at the parking lot of the Pacific Crest Trail.  At the parking lot we will go through an orientation and distribution of gear.  From there we will start out along the Pacific Crest trail for about an hour or so through a historic burn area with amazing views of the mountains to the south.  We will then continue along passing several beautiful lakes, trekking through forest and huge meadows until we reach our first destination at Santiam Lake where we will make camp for the night and enjoy some fun afternoon activities.

Day 2 - 5 miles round trip

This day will be spent doing day hikes to several lakes in the area.  After breakfast we will spend the majority of the day exploring many of the beautiful lakes and mountain views in the area.  Then retreat back to our camp at Santiam Lake and relax for our trek out on day 3.

Day 3 - 6 miles

On our final day, part of our return route will be slightly different and we will get to explore another lake and some other great views.  Then we return to where we started so you can head home and share the stories and pictures of your amazing adventure.

The pictures below are all places you will see.  Amazing!
